Hey Can anyone recommend a good amp repair service in the West Yorkshire area I have a EBS Fafner Gen 1 that requires a good service and possible replacement of some of the pots where the tracks have worn as I get intermittent sound outages and crackling when adjusting ..tried cleaning with contact cleaner by removing the casing and spraying in the service holes but has made no difference . I wouldn't know about cost I'm afriad, but I was thinking about EBS repairs this morning as my HD350 seems to have developed a fault where it suddenly goes silent at gigs without warning.
The Fafner's passive controls are effective but the active eq on the Eden goes further. Otherwise the differences to my ears were subtle. The Fafner looks awesome but after A-B'ing the Eden sounded minimally better.
